Chad Schofield enters his first season on the staff as Offensive Line Coach as well as Football Outreach/Community Ambassador. Schofield played four seasons in the Arena Football League, all with the Gladiators, before retiring at the end of the 2016 season. Over the course of his four seasons, Chad appeared in 33 games as a fullback or along the offensive line as a center.

Schofield started in all 18 regular season games in 2014 when the Gladiators posted a 17-1 regular season record, featuring an American Conference Championship and a birth in ArenaBowl XXVII.

Prior to joining the AFL, Schofield played one season in the Indoor Football League with the Colorado Ice in 2012.

Schofield played collegiately at Marshall University where he played in 30 games over three seasons at Center for the Thundering Herd. He was named Second-Team All-Conference USA in 2010 and was named the team’s Lifter of the Year in 2008.

The Strongsville, OH native and his wife Shawna welcomed their first child, Capri, in August.
