Woodridge QB Mason Lydic Named High School Impact Player of the Week
CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators announced today that senior quarterback Mason Lydic of Woodridge High School has been named the Week 3 High School Impact Player of the Week for his standout performance in the Bulldogs’ 62-27 win over Chagrin Falls on Friday night.
Lydic passed for 363 yards but totaled over 400 yards in the game, throwing for six scores and rushing for a seventh, as the Bulldogs improved their record to 2-1 on the season.
“Mason was outstanding in all facets of the game,” said Gladiators Offensive Line Coach Chad Schofield. “His leadership, toughness, and determination on the football field was instrumental in helping fuel his team to a big win.”
As the Gladiators’ High School Impact Player of the Week for Week 3 of the 2017 season, Lydic will receive an award recognizing his accomplishment, an in-game appearance at a 2018 Cleveland Gladiators home game, a visit at practice by coach Schofield, and a $500 grant towards the Woodridge High School football program.
