Medina RB Wins Week 4 Impact Player

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators, presented by Unique Home Solutions, announced today that senior running back Jimmy Daw of Medina High School has been named the Week 4 High School Impact Player of the Week for his standout performance in the Battling Bees’ 52-14 win over Elyria on Friday night.

Daw totaled 155 yards and six rushing touchdowns in the win while setting a program single-season record with his 17th rushing score of the year after just four games. Daw’s outstanding achievements helped guide Medina to the Week 4 home victory, improving their unbeaten record to 4-0.

"Jimmy continued his hot start against a very good Elyria team,” said Medina head football coach Daniel Sutherland. “His leadership has been outstanding in addition to his play on the field. The Medina football family couldn’t be more proud of you, Jimmy!”

For winning, Daw will receive an award recognizing his accomplishment, an appearance in-game at a 2017 Cleveland Gladiators home game, a visit at practice by Defensive Backs Coach Dominic Jones, as well as a $500 grant towards the Medina high school football program.
