Gladiators Assigned DL Michael Carlisle

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators, presented by Unique Home Solutions, of the Arena Football League were assigned DL Michael Carlisle, the team announced Thursday.

Carlisle, 25, enters his rookie season in the AFL and joins the Gladiators after graduating from Jacksonville State University. During his time with the Gamecocks, Carlisle appeared in 24 games over two seasons totaling 98 tackles, 14.5 tackles-for-loss, and 5.5 sacks.

Prior to joining the Jacksonville State program, Carlisle spent his first two seasons at Arizona Western College in Yuma, AZ. While there the 6’0”, 250 lb. linebacker finished second on the team in tackles with 41 in 2012, and additionally pitching in with eight and a half tackles for loss and one and a half sacks.

Carlisle is a native of Jonesboro, GA.

The Gladiators also announced Wednesday they have placed WR Rashaad Carter on reassignment.
