Gladiators Announce Impact Player of the Year Scholarship

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators, presented by Unique Home Solutions, announced today that registration is open for submissions of the team’s first ever High School Impact Player of the Year Award, with the deadline to apply set for January 30th, 2017.

In February, the Cleveland Gladiators will select one winner from a group of four finalists to be named the 2017 Cleveland Gladiators High School Impact Player of the Year. Gladiators High School Impact Player of the Year honors will be granted based on the Northeast Ohio student-athletes’ academic achievement, community involvement, and submission of a 500-word essay about the most important lesson football has taught them.

Eligible high school players must be seniors on track to graduate in 2017. The Gladiators’ four chosen finalists will each receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Gladiators Community Fund, while the winner, chosen from the final four, will be awarded an additional $1,000 scholarship.

The Gladiators Community Fund supports Northeast Ohio programs that positively impact the areas of education, youth football, health & wellness and basic needs.
