Gladiators Announce 2016 Training Camp Schedule & Roster

CLEVELAND, OH - The Arena Football League’s Cleveland Gladiators announced the practice schedule for the team’s annual training camp. Players reported to camp today at the team’s practice and training facility, Lost Nation Sports Park West in Lorain. The team will take the field for the first time tomorrow (March 10th) with the date of the Gladiators’ annual Media Day to be released in the coming weeks.  All training camp practices will once again be open to the public.

The Gladiators’ 2016 training camp roster features the return of quarterback Chris Dieker, wide receivers Collin Taylor, Thyron Lewis and Dominick Goodman, offensive lineman Chad Schofield, defensive lineman Randy Colling and defensive back Brandon Stephens.

Training camp runs through March 24th, when the season-opening roster will be determined.  Throughout training camp, each day’s on-field practice session will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

The Gladiators begin the 2016 season with their home opener at The Q on Friday, April 1st at 7:00 p.m. against their arch-rivals, the Philadelphia Soul.

Road Game Schedule Changes: The AFL has announced the following date changes to the road portion of the Gladiators 2016 schedule. The Week 8 contest at Tampa Bay will now be on Monday, May 23rd at 7:30 p.m. (originally scheduled for Saturday, May 21st); The Week 11 matchup at Orlando will now be on Monday, June 13th at 7:30 p.m. (originally scheduled for Saturday, June 11th); and the Week 12 game at Portland will now be on Monday, June 20th at 10:00 p.m. (originally scheduled for Saturday, June 18th)
