Cuyahoga Heights QB Named Week 9 Player of the Week
CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators, presented by Unique Home Solutions, announced today that senior quarterback Brett Lowther of Cuyahoga Heights High School has been named the Week 9 High School Impact Player of the Week for his standout performance in the Redskins 21-0 win over Kirtland on Friday night.
Lowther accounted for all three touchdowns, rushing for two and passing for another, to help improve Cuyahoga Heights’ record to 9-0 on the year.
“It’s always special to see a senior lead his team to victory,” said Gladiators Defensive Backs coach Dominic Jones. “Friday was even more special because it was against a conference opponent that hadn’t lost a Chagrin Valley Conference game since 2009. Brett showed tremendous poise and toughness in a big game which is why he has earned our High School Impact Player of The week Award!”
For winning, Lowther will receive an award recognizing his accomplishment, an appearance in-game at a 2017 Cleveland Gladiators home game, a visit at practice by Coach Jones, as well as a $500 grant towards the Cuyahoga Heights High School football program.
