Brush QB Godwin Joe Named High School Impact Player of the Week

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators announced today that senior quarterback Godwin Joe of Brush High School has been named the Week 6 High School Impact Player of the Week for his standout performance in the Hornets’ 54-28 win over Willoughby South High School on Friday night.

Joe threw for 283 yards and four scores and carried the ball for another 128 yards and three more scores in helping improve the Arcs’ record to 5-1 on the year.

“Godwin played another incredibly consistent game on Friday night,” said Brush Head Coach Jeff Fink. “The numbers that he has put up during these performances over the last couple of weeks has become the norm for him. He ran the ball efficiently and found open receivers in the pass game for big plays. He is the leader of our football team and a terrific young man.”

As the Gladiators’ High School Impact Player of the Week for Week 6 of the 2017 season, Joe will receive an award recognizing his accomplishment, an in-game appearance at a 2018 Cleveland Gladiators home game, a visit at practice by Gladiators Offensive Line Coach Chad Schofield, and a $500 grant towards the Brush High School football program.
