Gladiators Battle Storm On Cavs Night

The Cleveland Gladiators will honor the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow at 7:00 PM when they battle the Tampa Bay Storm on Cavs Night Presented by Minute Men HR at Quicken Loans Arena. The team will pay tribute to the Cavs great run during the 14-15 regular season and playoffs by featuring "all things Cavs" including appearances by the Cavs entertainment teams, Cavalier Girls and Cavs Mascots. Cavalier Legends Larry Nance, Elmore Smith, Bingo Smith and Barry Clemens are scheduled to attend and will also be signing autographs prior to the game on the concourse for all fans. The Gladiators will wear specialty gold Cavs themed jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game, including one complete uniform set (helmets, jerseys, pants and socks) on The Q concourse! A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Gladiators Community Fund.

MATCHUP On the heels of two straight wins, the Cleveland Gladiators (7-5) will try to make it three against the Tampa Bay Storm (5-6) Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.  The Gladiators have two wins against Tampa Bay this season, and are looking to complete a three-game season sweep of the Storm.  The Gladiators topped New Orleans 51-34 last week, which completed a three-game season sweep of the VooDoo.  Tampa Bay is coming off a 63-56 win over Jacksonville on Friday.  The Gladiators have won back-to-back games for the third time this season, and are 2-3 at home on the campaign.  Tampa Bay has not won back-to-back games all season, and are 1-3 on the road.

LAST TIME OUT Cleveland never trailed Friday in New Orleans, and led by as many as 24 points before ultimately  topping the VooDoo 51-34.  The Gladiators defense forced three turnovers on downs in the first half, and quarterback Shane Austin accounted for seven total touchdowns.  Collin Taylor found the end zone on three occasions, while Dominick Goodman notched a pair of receiving touchdowns.  Overall, Goodman registered 10 receiving touchdowns in three games against the VooDoo this season, while his 13 catches on Friday tied a season-high.

WHO TO WATCH: GLADIATORS Taylor is two catches away from his first 100-catch season in the AFL, and he is second on the Gladiators with 1,054 receiving yards on the campaign.  Taylor is tied for the Gladiators lead with 25 touchdown catches, and has five touchdown grabs in two games against Tampa Bay this season.

WHO TO WATCH: STORM Veteran receiver T.T. Toliver leads Tampa Bay with 76 receptions, 1,045 receiving yards, and 24 touchdowns.  Toliver is coming off a two-touchdown game against Jacksonville last week, and has been held out of the end zone just once all season.
