High School Impact Player of the Week

Each week the Cleveland Gladiators will select a High School Impact Player of the Week based on the individual players’ on-field impact for their respective teams’ success. Each winning player will receive a $500 grant towards the player’s high school football program, an appearance at practice by a member of the Gladiators coaching staff, and recognition at a 2018 Cleveland Gladiators home game. 

The Gladiators’ High School Impact Player of the Week award will be announced every Tuesday during the high school football season.

Week 7 - Jayden Cunningham, QB - University School 

Cunningham threw for three scores, rushed for another, and returned an interception 45 yards for a defensive touchdown in helping improve University School’s record to 5-2 on the year. READ MORE.

Week 8 - Ronald Lee, RB - Euclid High School

Lee rushed for 371 yards and five touchdowns in the game while adding a 30-yard touchdown reception as well in the shootout victory for Euclid. READ MORE.

Week 9 - Shomari Williams, RB - North Ridgeville High School

Williams scored all five touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime, as North Ridgeville outlasted Westlake in overtime, 37-30. READ MORE.

Week 10 - Ryan Maloy, QB - Avon High School

Maloy helped cap off a perfect regular season for the Eagles by passing for 278 yards and totaling six touchdowns (three passing/three rushing) as Avon cruised past Berea-Midpark, 63-35. READ MORE.


Week 1 - Isaiah Gullick, RB - Mentor High School

The senior’s five total touchdowns helped guide the Mentor Cardinals to a season-opening 57-31 home win over the Massillon Tigers on August 26th. READ MORE

Week 2 - Trey Bialowas, QB - Westlake High School

Bialowas accounted for five touchdowns to give the Westlake Demons a 34-31 week 2 road victory over the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs. READ MORE

Week 3 - Robby Levak, QB - Nordonia High School

The sophomore’s five total touchdowns helped guide the Knights to a Week 3 road victory, improving their record to 2-1. READ MORE

Week 4 - Jimmy Daw, RB - Medina High School

The senior totaled 155 yards and six rushing touchdowns in a win Elyria while setting a program single-season record with his 17th rushing score of the year after just four games. READ MORE

Week 5 - Dustin Crum, QB - Midview High School

Crum passed for 289 yards and rushed for 207 yards, while setting a school record for career passing touchdowns. Crum’s outstanding achievements helped guide Midview to the Week 5 home victory, improving their record to 4-1. READ MORE.

 Week 6 - Davion Johnson, WR - Bedford High School

Johnson caught two touchdowns on the night while also returning a punt 86 yards for a score in helping keep Bedford unbeaten on the season at 6-0. READ MORE.

 Week 7 - Craig Palidar, WR - Wadsworth High School

Palidar caught ten passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns while also blocking a punt that went for a safety in helping improve Wadsworth’s record to 4-3 on the year. READ MORE.

Week 8 - Ben Connor, QB - Beachwood Hgh School

Connor completed 13 of his 18 passes for 352 yards and five touchdowns while rushing six times for 62 yards and three more scores in helping improve Beachwood’s record to 3-5 on the year. READ MORE.

Week 9 - Brett Lowther, QB - Cuyahoga Heights High School

Lowther accounted for all three touchdowns, rushing for two and passing for another, to help improve Cuyahoga Heights’ record to 9-0 on the year. READ MORE.

Week 10 - Thomas Wilks, RB - Solon High School

Wilks rushed for 251 yards on the night, with three of his six rushing touchdowns coming from 41, 49, and 54 yards out to help Solon finish the regular season at 9-1. READ MORE.
