Gladiators Assigned DB's Veal and Chatman

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League, presented by Unique Home Solutions, were assigned DB’s Kenny Veal and C.J. Chatman, the team announced Friday.

Veal, 27, returns for his third season with the Gladiators and will make his 2017 debut this Sunday when the Gladiators host the Baltimore Brigade at 3pm.

Veal spent parts of the 2015 and 2016 seasons with the Gladiators but did not appear in a game after coming over from the Nashville Venom of the PIFL where he earned All-League honors for his play.

The Cleveland, OH native prepped at Hamilton High School.

Chatman, 23, joins Cleveland for his rookie season after a stellar four-year collegiate career at Walsh University.

Chatman is originally from Copley, OH.

Additionally, the Gladiators also announced they have activated DL Jacobbi McDaniel from league suspension and have placed DB Arness Ikner on injured reserve and placed WR Antonio Vaughan and DL Shubert Bastien on recallable reassisngment..
